Mornin'
For a cute and funny start to your day, check out the following link What kids will do for candy I thought me and my brothers did a lot of bizarre things for various reason but this takes the cake.
I thought I would refrain from starting off so early with heavy stuff. I just want to ask that all of you step off on your best foot today and try to brighten another person's day with just a small gesture of kindness.
You can affect change in someone's life simply by having a good, grateful attitude. I know I am grateful nearly everyday. I have had my struggles in life and any day that is less dramatic as those, I am in good shape. When I waver from my grateful attitude, I can either look around for temporary relief or, better yet, inward for what is most stable and durable.
Sometimes, you may have to be firm with others and tell them what they do not want to hear. This does not mean that you are not being spiritual. You may have to just hold people accountable for what they say or do (don't do). Part of being spiritually sound is making your voice clear especially when it comes to others trying to place blame on you for the troubles within the family. When we become adults, we are supposed to put away childish things. This extends to blaming other people in the family for current problems. I had my fair share of dilemmas in my life and I did try the route of blaming my parents and siblings for my lot in life. It was not until I accepted complete responsibility for all the consequences from the decisions that I made did I heal properly. Now I can stand up straight and ask that my siblings not focus on me as the problem but themselves and how they missed the mark when they had the chance to accept responsibility for their role in the dysfunctional dynamics of the family.
What a relief it was to get that off my back. It was at that point that I could really enjoy life.
Peace
